Joel Sjöholm to be the Face of Czech Challenge on Kuneticka Hora

The D+D REAL Czech Challenge will take place on the Kuneticka Hora Golf Course for the third time.  This year the official start date has been moved to 29 May.  The tournament prize money has been raised to 165 000Eur. Joel Sjöholm is going to be one of the faces of the tournament. He tends to draw a lot of attention on the golf course thank to his outfits – wearing knee breeches and stockings.  His original name is different from the one we know because he was adopted by a Swedish family in Santiago, Chile.  When he was three years old, he picked up a golf club the first time and, as he later admitted, he would even go to sleep with it.

„We got to know him during a tournament in Dubai. He is a true showman, very popular among the players.  We were also present at one of his parties where he cooked for the players, which is also on the list for the KunetickaHora event. After the PRO-AM tournament on Wednesday, Joel will prepare a special menu for the players, “says David Trunda, the Sports Director of RELMOST Promoter Agency.

Last year, Sjöholm lost his European Tour card. This season he has received several invitations of which the visit in Hongkong was the most successful as he finished eighth. He also decided to come to KunetickaHora in spite of the fact that he could have been playing back home at the Nordea Masters which is part of the European Tour.

James Kingston is another interesting player to be seen on the KunetickaHora Golf Resort.  He is a well experienced 48-year-old South African with two titles from the European Tour and the best score from the BMW PGA Championship in Wentworth.  He took the lead after the first round and finished sixth.

From the Czech players, MarekNovy, Petr Gal, Daniel Suchan, Adam Rajmont, Petr Dedek junior are those whose presence at the D+D REAL Czech Challengehas been confirmed.  At the moment, the agreement of cooperation of the promoter with two more major players is being finalized. They, too, have played on KunetickaHora before. In total there are 19 Czech players to be seen on the D+D REAL Czech Challengetournament.
