Pavoucek became the 16th Czech player to start at the D+D Real Czech Challenge!

The number of Czech players increased just before the close of the starting list to 16. This is the final figure for the 4th annual D + D Real Czech Challenge held from May 28 to 31 at the Kuneticka Hora Golf Course.

“In agreement with the Czech Golf Federation we have nominated Dominik Pavoucek. Over the weekend, he won the championship of Slovenia, has the right form, he belongs among the great golf talents, “explained Petr Dedek, owner of the promotion company RELMOST.

The 19-year-old Pavoucek is the seventh amateur who will stand at the tee during this European Challenge Tour event at Kuneticka Hora.

“The starting list from the Czech perspective is mix of experienced players with several starts on the Challenge Tour and complete novices. It will be an interesting combination of Czech amateur and professional golf. I consider it a complete success if 5 Czech players will make the cut and at least one of them would be an amateur, “said the Dedek.

So far the largest number of Czechs who have made the cut on the Challenge Tour, was 4 in 2012 during the first D + D Real Czech Challenge tour in the Czech Republic.

A complete name list of Czech players is as follows: Ales Korinek, Luke Tintera, Stanislav Matus, Andrew Lieser, Mark New, Petr Gal, Daniel Suchan, Adam Rajmont, Cyril Suk. From amateurs are starting: Peter Dedek jun., Michal Pospisil, Simon Zach, Vit Novak, Jakub Pokorny, Vaclav Lebl jun.and  Dominik Pavoucek.

“It’s an opportunity for our talented amateurs to experience the atmosphere and the pressure that players must understand if they want to succeed,” says Zdenek Kodejs, president of the Czech Golf Federation.
